I have been away, but let me distract you from that with some cool finished projects!

Little Morsels is Finished!
I finally finished the little morsels quilted table runner--and before The Fourth! Woo hoo! I might just go ahead and finish the Autumn Pinwheel table runner I started last year. And, maybe start a NEW sewing project! (I've been thinking of making a new apron....) So, without further ado, the finished, slightly (okay, more than … Continue reading Little Morsels is Finished!
New Projects and Progress (and Caught Red-handed)
I pretty much spent this week indoors and avoiding "the outside." After Sean's health scare last week (he's completely back to normal, by the way) and all the terrible news online this week, "inside" felt much more comfortable--and safer. Living is exhausting, sometimes. I find this is especially true in summer, where there seems to be zero quiet … Continue reading New Projects and Progress (and Caught Red-handed)
Summer Plans, and How Not to Quilt
First of all, let's talk about this quilted table topper. Little Morsels. I only have one last thing to do before it's finished, and that's the binding. It is quilted and waiting. Whether it's waiting for that binding or waiting to be put out of it's misery--it can go either way. It's business in the … Continue reading Summer Plans, and How Not to Quilt
Little Morsels Table Runner
Brain: I know you're busy with the end of school, and you have project you're already working on, buuuut...spur of the moment idea, here...let's make a table runner! Me: Okay! Because, I don't have enough going on, I decided to start another table runner. (Yep. I still haven't finished the Autumn one, but I'm sure it'll … Continue reading Little Morsels Table Runner
It’s Done!
And I love it!
It’s Almost Done!
If I weren't pregnant, I'd pop some champagne because the Four by Four quilt is almost DONE! 🙂 The only thing left to do is the arduous task of hand stitching the binding in the back. And, of course, a run through the washer. (I can't believe how badly I want to wash this quilt!)
Things Were Good…Until They Were Not!
Over the weekend I made a lot of progress on the Four by Four quilt...but probably at the cost of my sanity. Everything was going well. I had pieced in my smaller sashes. Now was time for the long sashes. Well, you know how they always say, "Measure twice, cut once?" Well... I was over halfway through … Continue reading Things Were Good…Until They Were Not!
Four by Four WIP
After dipping my toes back into the water with those small barrette projects, I've decided to dive right back in. This week I started two fairly time-consuming projects. The first, something I've never attempted--I full sized (okay, baby sized) quilt. This is the largest quilting job I've taken on, and my first that involves actual … Continue reading Four by Four WIP
